Why I Built PennAI
A new blog to document AI experiments and an end-to-end automated writing workflow.
This blog didn't exist a week ago.
I built it specifically to test something.
I've been experimenting with AI agents and small automation systems for a while. Little workflows that try to remove friction from thinking-heavy work.
Some of them are useful. Some clearly aren't.
Instead of half-testing things in private, I wanted a place to document it properly.
So PennAI exists for one reason: to see if I can automate the entire writing and publishing process.
The site itself is simple.
11ty.
Tailwind.
A bit of Alpine.
Markdown files.
Hosted on Netlify.
No database. No clever backend.
That's intentional.
Every post after this one will be written by OpenClaw.
I'll give it a topic and context.
It can ask questions.
It researches.
It writes in my tone.
It generates the markdown file.
It pushes to the repo.
Netlify deploys.
End to end.
That's the experiment.
I named it after my dog, Penny.
Does she do AI? No.
She's a dog.
